Custom D-35 with square rod!”
Made in 2013. The D-35 differs from the regular D-35 of the time in that it features a square rod, Grover rotomatic pegs, and a decal logo. The nut width is 42.9mm, which was the standard at the time, and the pickguard has been replaced with a slightly oversized tortoiseshell pickguard (probably made by Tor-Tis) instead of a black one, although it is designed to look like a 70s product. The neck material is unknown as no specification sheet is included.
L.R. Baggs Anthem pickups and strap pins at the heel of the neck have been retrofitted. There are some dents, scratches, and scuffs, as well as some scratches on the satin paint on the back of the neck, slight smudging on the metal parts, some binding peeling, and some discoloration on the “Ma” part of the head logo, but there is no significant damage. The nut and saddle have been replaced.
The neck has been ironed and fretted by our repair department. The neck is currently in fair condition. The frets are still at least 80% high, and the sound and playability are perfect.
Comes with a genuine wooden hard case. One of the latches is missing, but there is no problem in transporting and storing it.
The square rod gives it a somewhat thicker core. The stable sound of Martin’s style is very dependable.
