1979 D-35 with good playability in stock!
Dreadnought D-35 was born in 1965, and is characterized by its three-piece backwoods, called “3-piece back.
The serial number of this guitar indicates that it was made in 1979. The pegs are original Schaller, and the washers on the 4th and 5th strings of the pegs are original black, but the rest have been replaced. The pickguard has been replaced and has not been painted. There is a 5cm long Martin crack on the lower left side of the pickguard, but it does not extend to the back side. The frets have been replaced.
The top of the body has been lightly over-lacquered. There are some weather checks on the entire top. There are some scratches, scuffs, small dings, and paint chips on the entire body, but nothing that would ruin the atmosphere. The back of the neck is generally shiny and has a little bit of stickiness that is common. There are some paint burns on the bottom of both sides of the head, and the clear part is peeling.
The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is SQ, so it is not adjustable. The frets are about 80% full, with no noticeable string marks. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.5mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 2.0mm on the 1st string side, and the saddle height is low, so the adjustment range here is quite small.
The sound is powerful and 70s-like, and while the price of a new one is quite high, the price of a new one is very reasonable. The sound character is different, but it is still a great value.
Neck condition is fine.
